Services
OUR SERVICES
Purpose strives to meet our clients’ municipal and industrial water and wastewater needs, from the planning and study phase through design and construction. Purpose has also developed strategic partnerships with organizations to provide a suite of Civil and Environmental Engineering services, all in one place, including Water/Wastewater, Civil/Municipal, Stormwater, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural engineering services.
We work with our partner organizations to provide a collaborative approach to solving your engineering needs. We strive to implement a One Water approach, tapping into synergies in various parts of projects to provide better solutions and more benefit to our clients. Research shows that an integrated and interdisciplinary approach early-on provides the most benefit to clients while reducing costs. So whether we are recovering nutrients and energy from wastewater or using green stormwater techniques to mitigate flooding while beautifying neighborhoods, we strive to create value for you by using the full potential of resources you already have.
We specialize in innovative water and wastewater technology and design to serve clients both regionally and nationally. With our specialized expertise in water and wastewater management, communities of all sizes rely on us to meet the increasing demand for safe and sustainable water solutions. From designing and implementing new treatment systems to optimizing existing infrastructure, we work closely with our clients to identify and address the unique challenges they face.
We see sustainability as being integral to everything we do. Our highly trained staff are experts in both qualitative and quantitative sustainability assessment methods. Assessment tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) have been used in academia for decades for making decisions with sustainability in mind. We employ Ph.D. trained engineers who have applied these tools in both their academic work as well as for clients like you. These tools add dimension to planning efforts and help you make better decisions. Furthermore, sustainability assessments instill confidence in the people you serve that the choices being made are sound and that facilities are designed to provide the most benefit to people and the environment.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
We are proud to collaborate with a number of partner organizations to provide additional Engineering services, with the same quality and guarantee we are known for, all in one place.
Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Planning
Our approach to maintaining the integrity of natural resources while accommodating community growth involves designing and constructing functional and sustainable sites. We prioritize working with the unique character, composition, and context of a site rather than against it. Our goal is to preserve, enhance, and utilize a site's inherent features for function and character, without forcing the site to fit a preconceived design. By utilizing a collaborative design process and focusing on the strategic balance of function, aesthetics, implementation issues, and budget responsibility, our projects are not only cost-effective but also improve environmental quality and enhance the unique sense of place and character of each site.

Ecosystems and Natural Resources
Our team of scientists and natural resource professionals are dedicated to providing a robust planning and development framework for our ecosystem restoration and conservation projects. We develop natural resource management plans that address sustainability concerns as well as documentation, preservation, and monitoring of our natural resources. These plans also consider impact of floods, development, and industrial activities on our ecosystem. With experience in surveying and monitoring rare animal and plant species in compliance with governing legislation, our team is well-equipped to employ both standard and advanced field techniques. We are committed to delivering effective solutions that balance the needs of development with the importance of preserving our natural resources for generations to come.
